Dr. Sandra Risoldi

DNP, MSNEd, A-APRN, PMHNP-BC, FMACP

Dr. Sandy Risoldi is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner and the founder of Just Psych. With over 30 years in nursing and dual credentials in psychiatric care and functional medicine, she works with patients who feel like they've quietly lost themselves — capable people who keep managing, keep functioning, and keep telling themselves it'll pass. Her work is grounded in one core truth: your symptoms are not random. They're patterns — shaped by sleep, stress, and life circumstances — and patterns can change once they're understood.

Dr. Sandy's approach comes from decades of hands-on clinical experience, not a checklist. She has spent her career listening closely to what patients actually describe — not just matching symptoms to a diagnosis code — and building care plans around the whole person: their history, their physiology, and the life they actually have to live in. She doesn't treat patients like a set of symptoms to manage. She treats them like whole people whose biology and circumstances got ahead of them, and builds a path back that fits inside a real, demanding life.

Her method works in stages. First, a holistic intake and comprehensive evaluation to understand what's really driving the symptoms — not just the surface complaint. Then, a personalized treatment plan built around medication, therapy referrals, or both. From there, active monitoring and adjustment, because the goal isn't 'good enough' — it's actually feeling like yourself again. Through this process, Dr. Sandy helps patients move from simply managing symptoms to understanding and changing the patterns underneath them, for the long term.
